More than a month after Bangladesh’s democratically elected Prime Minister Sheik Hasina was forced to flee the country on 5 August 2024, law and order remains out of control as Islamist mobs target Hindus and their homes, temples and businesses.
Hasina is currently sheltering at an undisclosed location in India.
At a Bangladeshi Hindu protest rally in Brisbane on 1 September 2024, Australian Hindu Association President Amendra Singh had warned:
If the international community does not call the interim government of Bangladesh to account, then Bangladesh 2024 could well become the next Hindu genocide that the world will witness.
What is taking place in Bangladesh is a pogrom against Hindus. Law and order is out of control. Yet there has been no outcry from the international community. Is it because the victims are Hindus? The mob had alleged that Utsob had made disrespectful comments about Prophet Muhammad on Facebook. His fellow students accosted Utsob and took him to Khulna Police Station demanding exemplary punishment. While Utsob was being escorted out of the police station by uniformed personnel, he was attacked by a frenzied mob and tortured.
Moments after the attack on Utsob, a pumped-up man (with what appears to be blood on his clothing) can be heard screaming in the video below: Hindu has already been killed. Hindu kafir (non-believer) has already been killed. Insha’Allah. Insha’Allah (God willing), Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah). The mob screams: It’s done. It’s done. Army personnel stand around idly.

On 5 September 2024, Bangladesh Army’s Directorate of Inter-Services Public announced that Utsob was still alive: https://ispr.gov.bd/
It advised that a case was pending against him for ‘causing injury to religious values.’ Remarkably, there is no mention of any of his attackers being charged.
Three Hindus attacked during Ganesh procession
On the evening of 6 September 2024, a Hindu Ganesh procession was attacked by Muslims at Charigi Paharmore, Chittagong, Bangladesh. As the procession was passing Kadam Mubarrok mosque and madrassah, hot water was thrown from the third floor of the building on the deity and Hindu devotees.
When Hindus protested, they were attacked with stones and bricks. Two Hindus were captured by occupants of the building and tortured for 40 minutes. One is in critical condition at Chittagong Medical college with injuries to his head and legs.
In this video, a Hindu asks, ‘We Hindus are peaceful. Why Muslims attack us all the time?’

State-sponsored ethnic cleansing
Mohammad Yunus has proved that he is the archetype “moderate Muslim” – he will shield the Jihadi who in turn will behead the Kafir.
My comments on the state sponsored ethnic cleansing of Hindus in Bangladesh pic.twitter.com/8k5yaDrIDu
— Nupur J Sharma (@UnSubtleDesi) September 6, 2024
In this video, OpIndia’s Nupur Sharma describes the attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus as ‘State-sponsored ethnic cleansing.’ She says:
- Jihadis with their blood-stoked clothes celebrated the killing of a Hindu boy while the army stood there doing absolutely nothing.
- The Bangladeshi army is not an army, but a bunch of mercenaries and Islamists who are more than happy that a kaffir has been murdered.
- Over 70 Hindus died in hospital of their injuries because certain hospitals refused to treat them because they were Hindus.
- Over 30 women or girls who have been raped and/or abducted.
- A lot of men have been murdered.
- Hindus are not getting aid material after the recent floods because boats are simply bypassing Hindu houses.
- Temples are being broken.
- Hindus have lost their homes and businesses.
- The moment Mohammed Yunus took charge, he released over 2,500 Jamaat- e-Islamists from prison.
- Civilians are walking around with military rifles.
- Protection money is being extracted from Hindus only based on threats of being killed or raped.
- No Islamists have been arrested.
- The victims are poor people from interiors of Bangladesh who have absolutely nothing to do with politics.
- Mohammed Yunus is responsible for what is happening right now. This will go down in history as a black spot not just for Yunus but also for America whose puppet Yunus is.
- Hindus have never been safe in Bangladesh.
- Yunus is the archetype ‘moderate Muslim’ who will shield the Jihadi who will go behead the kafir, giving covering fire to the Jihadists.

- Along with Hindu doctors, Hindu pharmaceutical dealers were also attacked in a planned manner.
205 attacks in four days
In four days alone, between 5 and 8 August 2024, there were 205 reported incidents of persecution of minorities across 52 districts. This information has been documented by Oikya Parishad, a council of Hindu, Christian and Buddhist minorities in Bangladesh:
Attacks in 278 locations

3,600 attacks since 2013
Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), a Bangladeshi human rights organisation that documents attacks on minority communities, estimates that “over 3,600 attacks targeting Hindus have taken place in Bangladesh since 2013”.
The attacks include vandalism and arson targeting over 550 houses and 440 shops and businesses. More than 1,670 cases of vandalism and arson attacks on Hindu temples, idols and places of worship were also reported during that time, according to ASK:
Journalists charged with crimes against humanity
On 29 August 2024, 25 journalists were charged with crimes against humanity over the death of a protestor without credible evidence. Almost half of them were Hindu:

Hindus have held rallies in a number of locations in Bangladesh to protest against the attacks on them.
On 7 September 2024, thousands of Hindus gathered at Chattogram. One speaker asked:
If the Army can hand over a Hindu boy into the hands of a mob, then why did the same Army come to defend those who throw water and brick chips on us. Why such a hypocritical stance?

At the 1 September 2024 Brisbane protest, Jewish community leader Josh Turier told the rally:
We stand with you, we support you.
Addressing the rally, Hindu community leader Shalini Bhasin said that what was happening to Hindu women was unacceptable. ‘We do not want to witness another genocide. Enough is enough.’
AHA’s Amendra Singh told the meeting:
This is not the first time that there has been a military coup in Bangladesh. There have been as many as 29 coups or attempted coups since Bangladesh was created on 26 March 1971. Every time there has been an upheaval in Bangladesh, it is the minority Hindus who have borne the brunt of the mayhem.
What is taking place is a pogrom against Hindus.
He lamented that only three MPs – Liberal Julian Leeser, Labor member Andrew Charlton and Liberal Jason Wood had spoken in the Australian Parliament about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Bangladesh.

At least 70 Hindu professors, heads of departments and principals from various tertiary institutions and schools have been forced to resign. These include Geetanjali Barua, Principal of Azimpur Government Girls School and College, who was tied to a tree by her students. The army had to intervene and rescue her:
Hindu women targeted
OpIndia’s Nupur J Sharma, who has been speaking to local Bangladeshi Hindus, was told that at least 30 women have been raped and/or abducted since the violence started. “The rapes that they have been able to trace have been from Pirojpur district Rayer Khati region, Brahman Kathi region, Baju Khati region, Comilla District Boroigao, Dinajpur, Jalkhada, Naokhali, Pabna and a few others.” – https://www.opindia.com/2024/08/women-raped-villages-temples-burnt-hospitals-denying-treatment-hindus-bangladesh-ongoing-genocide/#google_vignette
Over 3000 Musical Instruments burnt to ashes
On 5 August 2024, an Islamist mob attacked eminent Bangladeshi Hindu Singer Rahul Ananda’s 140 year old House in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi. Over 3000 Musical Instruments were burnt to ashes, house furniture was looted and the house gutted. The family somehow survived.
Islamists rejoice after confirming murdered man was not circumcised
A particularly repulsive incident in August 2024 came to light through a viral video. This report by OpIndia reveals:
In the video, Islamists can be seen encircling a dead victim lying on the ground. There’s a pool of blood beneath the deceased man’s broken head, and his hands are bound in handcuffs. Many men are gathered around him. With the aid of a stick, one man, whose face cannot be seen in the video, strips the deceased person naked and checks the victim’s private part for circumcision. Shouting ‘Hindu, Hindu’ over the corpse, the crowd hovering over the dead body laughs, realizing that the man is a Hindu because he is not circumcised.
A military coup with a hidden hand?
The ‘spin” that has been put on the overthrow of the Hasina government was that it was as a result of organic student protests.
But the difficulty with this theory is that by 5 August 2024, Hasina had already met the demands of the students.

Several notable observers have said that Hasina fled because Army chief General Waker-uz-Zaman (pictured above), who was appointed by Hasina and is married to Hasina’s cousin, told her that the army could no longer guarantee her safety because Islamic elements within and outside the army were planning to overthrow her.
In another twist, reports are now emerging that:
Batches of Bangladeshi students handpicked as “coordinators”, visited Pakistan, Dubai and Qatar where they met a host of intelligence and security officials, including some from the US, over a period of more than one year, the Indian national security network has learnt after piecing together assorted strands of information within and outside Bangladesh.
Who is Muhammed Yunus?

On 6 August 2024 Bangladeshi President Mohammed Shahabuddin dissolved Parliament. On 8 August 2014, he appointed 84 year old US – based economist Muhammad Yunus as Chief Advisor of an Interim Government.
Yunus has close links to the American Deep State. He is seen to be close to Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama. While there is no direct evidence, there have been repeated assertions that Yunus is a US government-sanctioned appointee.
In what could not be a coincidence, Yunus was acquitted of multiple charges of labour code violations the day after his appointment.
On 28 August 2024, the Yunus government lifted a ban on the radical Islamist Jamaat-e-Islami party that had been imposed by Hasina. Over 2,000 prisoners with links to radical Islam have been released from prison following the appointment of the Interim Government.
Vanishing Hindus

Source: Wikipedia
In 1941 (before partition), Hindus comprised 28% of the population of present-day Bangladesh. By 1951 they were reduced 22.05%. In 1974 (following the creation of Bangladesh) their numbers had further dwindled to 13.5%. Today they comprise less than 8% of the population (see table above).
Where have they gone?
The answer is that they have been converted, forced to leave the country or killed.
If the current pogrom against Hindus remains unchecked, Hindus could well become extinct in Bangladesh within a few decades.
